What it does
Gentle pulses of light are used to create a “flap” which is lifted, the laser then gently reshapes the tissue underneath to improve vision. Once finished, the surgeon repositions the flap, which is self-sealing and heals within hours.
Who is eligible

Actual laser time
The procedure usually takes between 20 minutes to half an hour to treat both eyes, although the actual time under the laser is a matter of seconds. You’ll be able to walk out and head home as soon as it’s over.
